My name is Jamella Renée Taylor and I am originally from Newark, New Jersey, born on Monday, May 23, 1988. Unfortunately, my father died from appendicitis on Monday, January 31, 2000, My mother made the biggest decision for our family to move back to her hometown in Beautiful Beaufort, SC on Saturday June 24, 2000.
I am a Class of 2006 TOP TEN HONORS GRADUATE (#10 of 276) from Battery Creek High School! As I look back on my life, I truly thank GOD for having such a loving and supportive family, which includes my mother, my sister, brother-in-law, and beautiful nieces. I also thank him for allowing me to have some wild and crazy friends, who I love so much! I love to have fun, but I am focused and highly motivated when it comes to my career and education.

I graduated from the University of South Beaufort on Monday, December 17, 2012, where I majored in Human Services (Family and Public Health Awareness), with a concentration in Sociology. Furthermore, I am a founding member and inductee of the Xi Alpha Chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society in recognition of excellence in the study of Spanish, since Wednesday, April 20, 2011. In addition, I am now a proud member of the newly restored USC-B Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi Society as of Sunday, November 11, 2012. I earned "Greatest Honors" as "Magna Cum Laude". I also participated in the commencement exercises on Friday, May 3, 2013.
In May 0f 2012, I was offered and accepted the full-time position of being a Financial Aid Administrative Assistant and Veteran Affairs Certifying Official at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. I enjoy tackling the many challenges of handling the financial aid and veteran affairs processes. It is extremely rewarding.

On Friday, April 24, 2009, I was inducted in the Alpha Lambda Beta Chapter of Phi Theta International Honor Society. I marched with the Class of 2010 from the Technical College of the Lowcountry on Friday, May 14, 2010 with an Associate in Applied Science in Administrative Office Technology, a Diploma of Applied Science in Administrative Support, two Certificates in Applied Science in Pre-Allied Health Studies and Medical Office Assistant, and a Certificate of Arts in General Education. I also marched with honors as Cum Laude and Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
